Online Case Converter for Real Writing Tasks

A case converter changes the capitalization of existing text without requiring the user to retype a paragraph, heading, list or label. The main writing modes include uppercase, lowercase, sentence case, capitalized words, first-letter case, line-start case, toggle case and alternating case.

The workspace keeps the original text visible, shows the current result in a sticky panel and reports how many character positions changed. Selection-only mode is useful when only one heading or phrase inside a longer draft needs a different case.

Title Case, Headline Case and Style-Guide Drafts

Title capitalization is not the same as capitalizing every word. Articles, conjunctions and prepositions can remain lowercase depending on the selected style, while the first and last words and words after a subtitle boundary normally receive special treatment.

The APA, Chicago, MLA, AMA and standard options are mechanical previews, not replacements for the official guides. Proper nouns, product names, acronyms, hyphenated compounds and context-dependent words should always be reviewed before publication.

  • Custom always-uppercase and always-lowercase exception lists.
  • Preservation of existing acronyms and internal brand capitals such as YouTube.
  • Separate multi-line headline handling and editable hyphen policies.
  • Capitalization after colons or subtitle dashes.

camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case and Developer Naming

Developer identifiers use both capitalization and separators. The live matrix turns one phrase into camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, CONSTANT_CASE, kebab-case, SCREAMING-KEBAB-CASE, dot.case, path/case, Train-Case, flatcase and UPPERFLATCASE at the same time.

These outputs are convenient starting points for variables, classes, database fields, CSS classes, routes and configuration keys. They do not check reserved words or project-specific naming conventions, so developers should validate the final identifier in the target language or framework.

URL Slug and Safe Filename Conversion

Slug conversion removes punctuation between words and replaces it with a consistent hyphen, underscore, dot or space. The user can choose lowercase, uppercase or normalized case, remove Latin accents, restrict output to ASCII and set an editable maximum length.

Safe-filename mode can preserve the final extension, such as .pdf or .txt, while converting the main filename. The preview reports when the first line was used or when the result was shortened to the selected limit.

Names, Lists, Hashtags and Multilingual Text

Name Case handles common apostrophe, hyphen, initial, Roman-numeral and name-particle patterns, but personal capitalization remains a matter of identity and source accuracy. The result should be checked against an official record or the person's preferred spelling.

Line mode helps with spreadsheet columns, product labels and category lists. Hashtag mode joins campaign words without decorative Unicode fonts. Locale-aware uppercase and lowercase are available for browser-supported locales, including Turkish casing; scripts without uppercase and lowercase forms may remain visually unchanged.

Privacy, Accuracy and Tool Boundaries

The module processes text and imported text files inside the browser. It does not submit the content to an AI service, save it in a database or keep it in permanent browser storage.

Case Converter changes capitalization and separators only. It does not rewrite sentences, correct grammar, infer every proper noun or remove hidden formatting. Text Cleaner is the dedicated tool for spacing, copied HTML, PDF line breaks, invisible Unicode and duplicate-line cleanup.

Capitalization and Naming Examples

  • Repair a paragraph typed accidentally with Caps Lock enabled.
  • Compare standard, APA, Chicago, MLA and AMA title-case drafts for the same heading.
  • Protect SEO, API, HTML and a brand such as YouTube while changing the surrounding title.
  • Convert a phrase into camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case and kebab-case at once.
  • Create a lowercase URL slug with a 60-character limit.
  • Turn a report title into a safe filename while retaining the .pdf extension.
  • Capitalize names containing apostrophes, hyphens, initials or common particles.
  • Convert each spreadsheet row independently or format campaign phrases as hashtags.

Choosing the Right Letter Case

  • Writers, editors and bloggers formatting headings and paragraphs.
  • Students and researchers preparing paper titles or presentation headings.
  • SEO and content teams creating titles, URL slugs and readable filenames.
  • Developers creating variables, classes, routes, CSS names and data keys.
  • Office users correcting Caps Lock text, labels, names and spreadsheet columns.
  • Social media teams creating readable campaign hashtags.

Locale, Style Guide and Naming Limits

  • No automatic converter can reliably restore every proper noun, brand name, acronym or person's preferred capitalization from all-lowercase or all-uppercase text.
  • Style-guide modes are mechanical drafts and should be checked against the current official publication guide.
  • Developer outputs do not validate reserved words, maximum identifier lengths or naming rules for a particular language.
  • Locale casing support depends on the browser and operating system; scripts without letter case may not change.
  • The module changes case and separators but does not clean hidden formatting, rewrite content or correct grammar.

Text Case FAQs

Does the Case Converter upload or store my text?

No. Conversion, local file reading, previews and exports stay in the active browser tab and are not uploaded or automatically saved by the website.

What is the difference between title case and capitalize every word?

Capitalize Words uppercases the first letter of every word. Smart Title Case can keep articles, conjunctions and prepositions lowercase according to the selected mechanical style rules.

Are APA, Chicago, MLA and AMA title results guaranteed to be publication-perfect?

No. They are useful mechanical drafts. Proper nouns, brands, hyphenated compounds, scientific terms and publication-specific exceptions still require human review against the current guide.

Can it create camelCase and snake_case for code?

Yes. The developer matrix creates common identifiers side by side, including camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, CONSTANT_CASE, kebab-case, dot.case and path/case.

Can it convert only selected text?

Yes. Select a portion of the input and enable selection-only mode. The chosen case is applied to that range while the surrounding text remains unchanged.

Does it correctly capitalize every person's name?

No automatic tool can know every person's preferred spelling or every cultural naming convention. Name Case handles common patterns but the result should be checked against the source record.

Can it create URL slugs and filenames?

Yes. Choose a separator, case, maximum length and accent policy. Filename mode can preserve a final extension such as .pdf while removing unsafe separators.

How is this different from Text Cleaner?

Case Converter changes capitalization and word separators. Text Cleaner removes copied formatting noise, hidden characters, duplicate rows, HTML, Markdown and PDF line-wrap problems.
